Write a poem about a relationship between surface and depth.
Goose Plush
You sit so soft on my window ledge,
A stitched-on smile, a cotton edge.
White wings spread wide, forever still,
A toy of comfort, shaped by will.
But deep inside, beneath the thread,
You hold the tears I never said.
Your button eyes have seen me break—
The laughter real, the joy half-fake.
You’re just a doll, some seams and fluff,
But somehow, that’s more than enough.
