During a recent trip to Gaharu Tea Valley in Gopeng, Perak, I was captivated by the serene beauty of this expansive agarwood plantation. Spanning over 300 acres, the valley offers a unique agro-tourism experience where visitors can explore the lush greenery and learn about the cultivation of gaharu trees, renowned for their aromatic and medicinal properties. The guided tour led us through various attractions, including the Hilltop Viewing Stage, which provided panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, and the Tree Hugging Park, where embracing the ancient trees is believed to offer therapeutic benefits. A highlight of the visit was the tea-tasting session, where we savored the distinctive flavor of gaharu tea, known for its calming effects. The on-site shop offered a variety of gaharu-based products, from teas to essential oils, making it a perfect spot to pick up unique souvenirs. Overall, Gaharu Tea Valley provided a tranquil escape into nature, combining education, relaxation, and a touch of wellness.
