Week 3- Lecture Exercise by Lam Xiao Ci

  • A child in a rocking chair is like an angel from the sky.
  • Steel reinforcing bar in building is like muscles stretched taut over bone.
  • The fog plumed through gunshot holes in the car windows like flowers blooming during springs.
  • She held her life in her own hands as if it were the only rope holding her from falling to an overhanging cliff.
  • Lacey poured coffee down her throat as if sleep were a luxury she couldn’t afford.
  • If I should wake before I die, I will voice out my last few pieces of words to my loved ones.
  • The security guard walks the lobby as if he is walking on a red carpet.
  • The library books left in the rain like a pity kitten that get lost with its mother.
  • Music in the hallway like a celebration going to happen.
  • Blue paint spilled on the road like the sea waves pushing rhythmically to the seashore.
  • Canceled checks in the abandoned subway car seemed like old parents that lived alone in the village.
  • A spider under the rug is like problem ignored that will bother you at some point.
  • Graffiti on the abandoned building like wild grass grew in the crack of wall.
  • Nothing was the same, now that it was given a second chance.
  • The dice rolled out of the cup toward Veronica like destiny revealing its hand.
